Pre-shipment inspection (PSI), also known as
final random inspection (FRI) or finished
product quality control, is a comprehensive
quality inspection conducted at the end of production, when the goods are 100% finished, at least 80% packaged, and ready for shipment. Customers can also specify whether the products are 100% finished and packaged for inspection. Its purpose is to ensure that the product meets the customer's quality requirements, specification standards, and various provisions in the contract and order before shipment. Pre shipment inspection is usually the last step of quality control, which can effectively reduce risks such as returns and claims, ensure timely delivery of products to customers, and guarantee the overall quality of products.
